John Keston Webb was born near Swan Creek in a portion of Hickman County which was to become part of Lewis County in 1843. According to Effingham County, Illinois Probate records volume E, page 30, U.C. Webb (John Keston's oldest brother) provided evidence that he died "...about the 25th day of November 1867 in Lewis County, Tennessee..."
