Happily United Thursday, July 31st Wm. Herren and Miss Marie Pageler Were United in Marriage. A very pretty wedding took place Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Wm. Herren of DeMoines, IA and Miss Marie Pageler of Wells Creek were married at the home of the bride by Rev. Langholz. The bride wore a white Crepe de Chine dress and a wreath and veil. She was attended by Miss Anna Holz who wore a blue silk dress and a white hat and by Miss Laura Beisterfeld who was attending in a white voile dress and white hat. The groom was attended by his cousin. Arthur Herren and Albert Pageler a brother of the bride. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Pageler of Wells Creek and is well-known in the that vicinity. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm Herren of DeMoines. He has just returned from overseas duty having been in the army the past year. The happy couple will leave for DeMoines where they will make their home on Mr. Herren's farm. Dinner was served at the home of the bride to about seventy relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Herren were present at the wedding. We join with their many friends in extending to them congratulations. Obituary Marie Wille, 82, formerly of Route 1, Wamego, died Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Wamego City Hospital. She was born Dec. 26, 1898, in the Wells Creek Community, the daughter of Otto and Greka Pageler. She married William Herren in 1919. He preceded her in death July 2, 1943. She later married August H. Wille in October of 1952 in Williamsburg, IA. He preceded her in death in 1972. She was member of the mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Wamego and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Survivors include one stepson George Wille, Woodstock. IL; two brothers, Ed Pageler, Westmoreland and Albert Pageler, Belvue; one sister, Selma Hafenstein and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10am Monday at the Stewart Funeral Home, Wamego with Pastor Byron Northwick officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm at the North English Cemetery in North English, IA. Memorials may be given to the Calvary Lutheran Church, Wamego and may be sent in care of the Stewart Funeral Home. Friends may call this afternoon at the funeral home after 3pm.
