Otto From was the oldest child of Johannes Sorensen From and Emma Bertha From (nee Kielau). He emigrated with his parents and brother Hermann and sister Bertha on May 15, 1903 aboard the S.S. Bulgaria and arrived in Halifax on May 27, 1903.
Otto spent most of his adult life working for the "Conklin Shows", a travelling midway. Otto changed his name to Robert Randall while employed with Conklin. When the "Conklin Shows" made the Canadian National Exhibition ground in Toronto the permanent home of the midway, Otto retired to Robert's Cove, B.C. and raised chickens.
He married Frances Maskell and they had two daughters - Frances and Dianne.
In his late 80's, he and his wife moved to Gibsons, B.C. where he resided until his death in 1987 or 1988.Quellenangaben
