Notizen zu dieser Person
Birth:
She was born in the village Leeste, which is near Syke in Lower Saxony in Germany, on the 18th of September 1829. Her parents were Johann and Catherine Margarete Bode. (E1)
Leeste is now a part of the town Weyhe.
Childhood:
She grew up in Leeste. Until she was 11 years old, her father was a cottager. Then he bought a farm. (E1)
Marriage:
She married the single Johann Heinrich Hollwedel, who was also from Leeste, on the 28th of December 1851 in the Marien church in Leeste. (E1)
They lived in Leeste until 1870. Then they moved to Bremen. (E1, B1, B2)
Wilma Balcke told me that Beke Hollwedel was a clairvoyant. She saw pictures of funeral processions of her fellow villagers in her mind, whilst they were still alive. Soon afterwards they died. Shortly before her own death, she was pregnant. She predicted that either she or her baby would die during the birth of the baby. She died and her baby survived.
Death:
She died at 2 a.m. on the 24th of March 1876 in the hospital in the St. Jürgen Straße in Bremen. She was 46 years old. (B1)
