Birth:
She was born in the town Leeste near Syke in Lower Saxony in Germany on the 8th of March 1858. Her parents were Johann Heinrich and Beke Hollwedel. (E1)
Leeste had 3284 inhabitants in 1910. Then there was a post office, a registry, a Lutheran church, a power station, soil improvement works, a cement factory, a dairy, flourmills, a sawmill and brick works. (A1)
Childhood:
Her parents raised her in house No. 91 (Brandkataster Nr.) in Leeste until she was thirteen years old. Her father was a bricklayer and cottager (German: Häusler). (E2)
Then the family moved to Bremen. In 1871 and 1872 their home was at 499 Buntentorsteinweg. In 1873 and 1874 their home was at 8 Hoffmann Straße. (B2)
Sometime later they moved in a house or a flat at 52 Lehnstedter Straße. They lived there in 1876 when Marie Hollwedel's mother died. Marie Hollwedel was then 18 years old. (B1)
Wilma Balcke said that Marie Hollwedel took over the household after her mother's death. She raised her brothers and sisters.

Marriage:
She married the single Karl Eduard Franz Mulde, who was from the village Wallbach in the Gersdorf parish near Döbeln in Saxony, on the 12th of February 1881 in Bremen. She was 22 years old. (B1)
The couple raised their family firstly in the Korn Straße in the suburb Neustadt in Bremen and later in the Gellert Straße in the same suburb.
Death:
Marie Mulde died at 3 a.m. on the 12th of February 1940 in her home in the Gellert Straße in Bremen. She was 81 years old. (B1)
She left behind nine grown up children.
