According to Myrtle Seitz Sell (1962). "W. Scott Seitz was born March7, 1881 in Littlestown, PA. He went to public school to about 5thgrade. He had poor health, but overcame it later in life. He waswell liked and had many friends. When he was 17 years old, he went toCleveland, Ohio to his brother Charles. Worked in a bicycle factoryawhile, then worked in office of Penna. Railroad until he retired. Heworked his way up to accountant at the RR. He married Minnie Haineyof Allicance (sp?), Ohio on July 3rd, 1899. They had one son, W.Scott, Jr. "by W.K.Reily Known as Scott, he attended public school to grade 5. He had po orhealth as a boy but overcame it later in life. He was well l iked andhad many friends. At age 17 he went to Cleveland, OH , to brother,Charles. He worked in a bicycle factory, then i n the office of PA RRCo. until he retired. He worked his way u p to accountant. He andMinnie lived on Euclid Ave., an area o f large homes and wealth. Theyentertained often, and made freq uent trips to Hanover and York. Theywere Methodists, later t o become Baptists. Minnie was born 3/5/1880and was a milliner . She also did china painting as a hobby. She wasa member o f F&AM and OES lodges and Scott also enjoyed F&AM. order.Afte r Minnies death, Scott married Ruth. He lived well into his nineties cared for by Ruth. (from Helen Nunn)
