Notizen zu dieser Person
Referring to a 1534 tax record, Robert Sandfort writes: The other three persons in the household of Johann von Zantvorde for whom taxes were paid could have been children, servants, tenant farmers ora combination of all these. It is likely that at least on or two of these people were children of Johann but names are not revealed.
Another record exisits for the period during which this unnamed child owned the Sandfort farm. However this record too fails to name the farm owner, giving only the last name. This record, from 1567,reads as follows: 1567: On the 16th of july Sandforth declared that he is pledged to the Nprtrup Men and Society of Marksmen for on established farm consiting of his house and garden, which is knownas Lampes Garden , to give yearly to accountant Canon a fee of one-half Joachimstaler...
Robert Sandfort writes: Johan ton Zantvorde s son is presumed to have died sometime prior to 1589, the date of the next known record, because the tax record of that year refers to De Sandfordesch . This is the term used for a woman owner of the Sandfort farm, probably his widow.
