Alta R. Tanner Rites Thursday
Sacramento executive Alta R. Tanner,76, died Monday (Dec.1, 1969)
in a local hospital.
Services for Tanner willbe at 11 am Thursday in the Land Park
Chapel of Harry A. Nauman and Son.
Anative of Kansas, Tanner was a division manager for General
Electric where hehad been employed for 40 years prior to his
retirement. He had been a Sacramento resident for the past 31 years.
Tanner was a member of Three Pillars Lodge 613, Free and Accepted
Masons and the Scottich Rite Bodies.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha; a daughter, Mrs. Melba M. Ingle
of Sacramento; a son,Prof. Glenn A. Tanner of Maryland; nine
grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Burial will be in Masonic Lawn Cemetery.
Remembrances should be sent to the Memorial Fund of the First United
Methodist Church, 2100 J St.

Sacramento and Professor Glenn A. Tanner of Maryland; grandfather of
Mrs. Karen Spencer of Honolulu, Mrs. Karel Goard, Jay and Ronnie Ingle of
Sacramento, James G. Tanner of Virginia, Lawrence P. Sarah, and Sharon
Tanner ofMaryland and Mrs. Shila Rackholt of Okinawa. Leaves three
great-grandchildren. A native of Kansas. Aged 76 years. Friends are
respectfully invited to attend the funeral Thursday at 11am to the Land
Park Chapel of Harry A Nauman &Son, 4041 Freeport Blvd. Interment
Masonic Lawn. Remembrances may be sent to the Memorial Fund at the 1st
United Methodist Church, 2100 J St.
