He was the most humble, caring man that always had a smile on his face. The minute he walked into the room, you knew that he was full of joy and optimism. He had friends near and far, and those that knew and loved him, kept in touch for many years. He had a family that loved him dearly, and he loved each one of his children, grandchildren, son-in-law’s, daughter-in-law, brothers and sisters and many more. The most important things in life were the unconditional love he had for his family and his undying faith in his Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. He and his sweetheart Joan would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on September 9th, 2019. They were married in the Arizona temple. He loved every opportunity to serve whether that be his family, the neighbor next door, a stranger on the street, or someone in his church community. He served one mission in his youth and he and Joan served 3 missions together for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He will be remembered for how he loved genuinely and generously. We will miss him, our Gentle Giant and look forward to the day when we will all be together again. He is survived by his wife Joan, his 5 children and their spouses, Shawn, Sheri, Shad (Holly), Sheli (Charl), Shani (Ben), 18 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and his 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation and viewing will be from 5:00- 7:00 pm on Thursday August 29th, 2019 and from 10:00 - 10:45am on Friday August 30th. Followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints 2707 S. College Ave Tempe, Az 85282. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.
