ira barlett elmer was born 2 august 1823 norwich winsor county vermont the youngest child in a familyof nine children.the family became converted to the lds (mormon) church in the late 1830s and started west far west missouri.the mother sarah died at wabash wabash county indiana in 1838 en route to missouri.after her burial they continue on to adam county illinois and lee county iowa where they live for a time then join the saints at winter quarters. ira married eveline wright in indiana sometime before 1843 and their first two children were born in adam county illinois.they moved from here to lee county iowa in 1847.they come across the plains to utah.ira and family were called to settle the st. george area in 1860.he helped finance the first school in st. george.they were called to settle panguitch and around garfield county area.he married his second wife sarah selena leicht 15 june 1870.he was called to serve on the 1876 jury that connonville utah about 1890.soon after this they moved to arizona and lived in gila valley and pima arizona.he was a carpenter and farmer by trade. sarah died 7 september 1887 panguitch county.ira died on august 20 1902 thatcher graham county arizona.he is buried st pima arizona. ------------------------ Ira Bartlett Elmer and Eveline Wright raised a large family in St. George, Panguitch, Cannonville, Utah, and Pima, Graham County, Arizona. He died August 20, 1902, Thatcher, Graham County Arizona and is buried at Pima, Arizona. Ira and his wife and children left for Utah in the spring of 1852. 2.They lived in several places in Utah, White's Fort, Payson. 3. Ira's family and James McInelly moved to St George, Utah. 4. On Christmas day 1861, it started to rain, and it rained for 40 days and flooded many homes, the mill . 5. Ira took a second wife, plural marriage, in 1869, and they had 10 children. 6. In 1884 Ira and second wife and children moved to Puma, Arizona. Ist wife Eveline moved to Panguitch instead of going to Puma. They moved to Mexico with other families because of persecution and the threat of imprisonment for having plural families and wives. They were pioneers in Mexico. They lived in Old Mexico for 4 yrs. 7. Ira's first wife, Eveline, died in Panguitch, Utah in Aug. 1887. 8.They moved back to Puma in 1889, and then to Thatcher, where he remained for the rest of his life. 9. He was a carpenter and mason. 10. He became blind in 1889 and had to quit working. He died on a Saturday, June 30 1903 at his home in Thatcher, Arizona. 11. At his death he had 20 children and many grand and g grandchildren.

Sämtliche in meinem Stammbaum berücksichtigten Daten, Angaben und Notizen stammen aus für jedermann zugänglichen Quellen.
