Sponsor was Edward Desch ------------------- Marietta, GA -- Joe Domme, 86, died Tuesday November 27, 2007 of a massive stroke at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. He was born May 14, 1921 in Topeka, KS, the son of John and Margaret Domme who preceded him in death. He is preceded in death by his son, Eric, two sisters, Mary Fuhr and Ann Lampo, and two brothers, Alex Domme and John Domme. His survivors include: daughter, Julie, and her husband Jesse Poe, of Marietta, GA; two granddaughters, Jeanette Cuva and Jordan Poe; two grandsons Jeffrey Poe and Luke Domme and one great granddaughter, Cayla Cuva. Mr. Domme lived a very rich and full life. He taught ballroom dancing for over 65 years, his last dance lesson was just a little over a week ago. Mr. Domme loved his two children and grandchildren dearly. He also spread more of his love to his many nieces, nephews, and to the hundreds of friends and students that he has had over the years. Mr. Domme also served during WWII in the Navy as a Storekeeper 3rd class stationed on the USS Bradford Destroyer. Before moving to Georgia, Mr. Domme was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and also an active member of the VFW in Topeka. Mr. Domme was cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Topeka. Family and friends can gather at 9:00 a.m. with a rosary at 10:30. Mr. Domme will be interned with his parents at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka immediately following. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
