Tornou-se conhecido como grande negociador em v&aacute;rias miss&otilde;es pol&iacute;ticas durante a Guerra dos Trinta Anos. Faleceu no dia 11.11.1662 em Maria Laach e foi sepultado na Igreja dos Dominicanos em Koblenz. Sua morte foi, em grande parte, consequ&ecirc;ncia dos sofrimentos por que passou durante a guerra, principalmente como prisioneiro. A Igreja dos Dominicanos em Koblenz foi totalmente destru&iacute;da durante a &uacute;ltima Guerra Mundial e n&atilde;o foi mais reconstru&iacute;da. Apenas o portal permaneceu de p&eacute;.
