She spelled her last name SIEBERT 1882, February 16, Her parents (Christian & Amanda Seibert) sold herand her husband the farm for $900.00 (Just one month before Christian died) This Indenture Made the Sixteenth day of February in the year of ourLord one thousand eight hundred and eighty two. Between Christian Seibert of the township of Porter County of Schuylkill and State of Pennsylvania and Amanda his wife party of the first part and Sarah Jane Adams of Rush township County of Dauphin and State aforesaid party of the other part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Nine Hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them will and truly paid by the said party of the second part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoffre lease and confirm unto the said Sarah Jane Adams her heirs and assigns All that certain piece of land situated in the township of Porter County of Schuylkill and State of Pennsylvania aforesaid. Bounded and described as follows: By land of John Wolf now Elizabeth Shomper Jonathan Hartz Israel Artz and Levi Schney Containing Seven acres more or less. It being a part of the same premises which Daniel Koons by Indenture bearing date September 3rd A.D. 1817. Recorded in Schuylkill County in Deed Book No.3 Page 280 Granted and conformed unto Samuel Koons his heirs and assigns and being the same land mentioned in and article of Agreement between the said Samuel Koons and Hellena Seneft- Recorded inthe same office Deed Book No41 Page 754 the said Hellena having since become the wife of Samuel Koons said land so mentioned in said agreement as Sixty acres as will appear by reference IC(?) and now to wit the said Samuel Koons has conveyed the same piece of parcel of land unto John Schadel by Deed dated the Second day of August A.D. 1854Recorded in the office for Recording Deeds in the aforesaid County in Deed Book No.44 page 228 and also Recorded in the Same County one acknowledgement before Solomon Foster an Associate Judge of the Court of Schuylkill County No.44 page 228. The said John Schaedel did convey unto John Brown by an agreement dated the 30th day of December A.D. 1862 as by the said Agreement is mentioned in that Agreement previous had between the said John Shadel and Jacob Brown for the same piece of land without a Deed which was agreed by the said parties the aforesaid John Brown did become purchaser and got the same title for the above mentioned tract of land as fully as the said Jacob Brown would himself. The said John Brown has conveyed the same piece of parcel of land unto Christian Seibert party hereto by deed dated January first A.D. 1866 said deed being Recorded at Pottsville in Deed Book No.89 page 442. Together with all and singular Buildings Improvements Ways Waters Water Courses Rights Liberties Privileges Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Perversions and Remainder Rents Issues and Profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said party of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold the said Seven acres of land more or less with the Hereditaments and Premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended soto be with the Appurtenance unto the party of the second part her heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the saidparty of the second part her Heirs and Assigns for ever. And the said Christian Seibert and Amanda his wife their Heirs Executors and Administrators Do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said Sarah Jane Adams her Heirs and Assigns that they the saidChristian Seibert and Amanda his wife their Heirs all and singular the Hereditaments and Premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the Appurtenances unto the said Sarah Jane Adams her Heirs and Assigns against them the said ChristianSeibert and Amanda his wife their Heirs and against all and every other Person or Persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by from or under him them or any of them shalland will Warrant and forever Defend. In Witness Whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and Seals. Dated the Day and year first above written. Sealed and Delivered in the presence of us Wm Henry Christian Siebert (SEAL) Jacob Workman Amanda X Siebert (SEAL) (her mark) Received the day of the date of the within or foregoing Indenture ofthe within named Sarah Jane Adams the sum of Nine hundred dollars the consideration money in full. Witness Wm Henry Christian Siebert (SEAL) Schuylkill County SS On the sixteenth day of February Anno Domini 1882 before me the undersigned a Justice of the Peace in and for the aforesaid County of Schuylkill personally appeared the above named Christian Seibert and Amanda his wife and in due form of law acknowledged the above Indenture to be their and each of their act and deed and desired the same mightbe recorded as such and the said Amanda Seibert being of full age and separate and apart from her said husband by me thereon privately examined and the full contents of the above Deed being by me first made known unto her, did thereupon declare and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act and deed deliver the above written Indenture Deed or Conveyance without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
