Father Leroy Kremer and Father Smyers co-celebrated the burial service. Tillie, 72, a lifelong resident of Browerville, diedJune 11, 1987. Death was due to cancer. She died at the home of her son, Ron, in St. Joseph, Minnesota. Tillie was born May 10, 1915 to John and Mary Wrobel Goligowski. She married Jerome Brown January 14, 1939. The couple farmed near Broerville most of their married life. Tillie enjoyed many hobbies and activities. She was an RSVP Volunteer, a member of St. Ann's Mission Group and a Christian Mother member. She volunteered at Christ the King School in serving lunch. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, knitting, sewing, and playing cards. She was a devoted wife, mother,and grandmother. Tillie is survied by her husband, Jerry, and seven children: Bob, Jack and Jeff of Browerville; Ron of St. Joseph; Jim of Avon; Mrs. Fred (Shirley) Holscher of San Antonio, Texas; and Mrs. Dan (Jeanette) Mace of Hastings; sisters Irene Benning of Broerville; Albina Bieraier of Long Prairie; Justine Lopata of Minneapolis; Mary Nelson of Mound; and Florence Vieau of Maple Lake. Broehrs Roman Goligowski of Browerville and Herman Goligowski of Carmichael, California and 28 grandchildren. Tillie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Raymond; a sister, Catherine, anda grandson, Herbert Jerome. Pallbearers for her funeral mass were six grandsons: Mitch and Mike Holscher, Brian Scott and Danny and Allen Brown. Cross bearer was Jason Brown. Servers were Melissa Holscher, Eric Mace, Stefanie, Jennifer and Christopher Brown. Music was provided by the Peace Choir with the Dan and Jeanette Mace Family singing special songs in their mother's honor. Readerswere Jim Brown and Shirley Holscher. Ron Brown gave the homily with Mike Holscher following with a tribute to his grandmother. Lay ministers were Ron and Jane Brown, Shirley and Red Holscher, and Jeanette Mace. Giftbearers were Leslie, Emily and Adam Brown. Rebecca Brown described symbols of her grandmother's full and wonderful life. Grandchildren carried the symbols to the altar. Interment was at Christ the King Cemetery. Relatives and friends from St. Joseph, Avon, Minneapolis, Hastings, Clarissa, Long Prairie, Cushing Randall, Little Falls, Blaine, Mound, Maple Plain, St. Paul,Forest Lake, Alexandria, Minnetonka, Mora Paynesville, and Brainerd, Minnesota; San Antonio, Texas; Arlington, Virginia; Marshfield, Wisconsin and Colorado attended the wake and funeral service.
