Funeral services were held Monday, March 16 at Zion Lutheran Church inPaullina for Henry H. Fiddelke, Rev. Stephen Kamprath officiated.
Pallbearers were Les Fiddelke, Dennis Dau, John Lenz, Loren Fiddelke, Milt Hustedt, and Ryan Dau.
Music included "What a friend we have in Jesus" and "How Great Thou Art" sung by the congregation, Organist was N. H. Behrens.
Final resting place is in Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa. Military graveside services were provided by Russell West Post of the American Legion.
Arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian- Eldridge Funeral Home.
Henry H. Fiddelke, the son of Johann and Sophia Lustfield Fiddelke wasborn Jan.22,1897 in Caledonia Township, O'Brien County, Iowa. He received his education in St. John's Lutheran School in Germantown. He servedin the Army during W.W.1. On February 1, 1922, he was united in marriage to Mathilda Gebert at her parents home. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Germantown until their retirement in 1963 when they moved to Paullina. Tillie preceded him in death on November 19, 1974, inPaullina. Henry had been a resident of the Wide View Rest Home since June of 1988 and passed away on March 13, 1992, reaching the age of 95 years 1 month, and 20 days.
Henry was baptized and later confirmed on March 10, 1910, at St. John'sLutheran Church in Germantown and was currently a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Paullina. He was also a member of the Russell Post ofthe American Legion.
Henry leaves to cherish his memory one son and daughter-in-law Leonardand Betty Fiddelke of Granville; and one daughter and son-in-law Marilyn and Raymond Dau of Sutherland, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, on sister Erna Fiddelke of Paullina also a host of other relativesand friends. KW
