James Madison Davidson left home at the age of 15, to make his way in life and never returned for a visit. He came to Texas in August, 1852 and settled in Milam Terri¬ tory, later Coryell County, where he married Vianna Moore on May 1, 1854. Their license was the first to be issued in Coryell County, and their daughter, Cordelia avidson, was the first child to be born in the newly organized county. She was born February 14, 1855.
