Thomas Harris was known as "Billy" Harris by the children of William Arthru Harris.According to family,Thomas was a full blood Cherokee Indian as was William "Will" Harris.The family never mentioned Wills mother,when asked they had no idea who she was so either she died early or she and Thomas may have parted ways. Will Harris was a wanderer.He would leave and stay gone for days or weeks at a time which explains why he dosen't show up in some census records.He had a mistress and at times this mistress would stay in the home with Granny and the children were made to refer to her as Aunt ____.I do know who the lady was but will refrain from using her name.Yes Will was a scroundrel but he was family.
