SIMON PRUESSNER,WILHELMINA”MINA” (KRUEGER)WAS ONE OFTHE OLDEST CITIZENS IN FRANKLIN COUNTY, MOMrs.Simon(b.1829)(Henry)Pruessner, nee Wilhelmine/a Krueger, was born atMardorf Ant Hohenhausen, Lippe Detmold, Germany, on March 15, 1836;died at the home of her son, Edward(Johann Edward Theodore b.1877), inNew Haven, on Sunday, January 27, 1918, aged 81 years, 10 months and12 days.On April 16, 1858, deceased was united in marriage toSimon(b.1829) Pruessner at Holstein,(Warren County), Mo, where theylived for over 8 years.From there they moved (across the MissouriRiver) to a farm near New Haven, Mo, since known(in 1918) as thePruessner homestead, they resided until November 14, 1917, when theaged couple came to New Haven to make their home with their sonEdward.The death of Mrs. Pruessner severs one of the oldest marriedcouples in Missouri.Mr. (Simon 1829)and Mrs.(Wilhemina 1836)Pruessnercelebrated their 50th wedding anniversary over 9 years ago.Their unionwas blessed with 13 children, 7 of whom preceded their mother indeath.She leaves mourning her death her aged companion; 6 children:H.S.(Henry Simon), William (b.1864), Gustave, Edward andSimon(?Samuel)Pruessner and Mrs. Wilhelmine/a Riecher/s; 39grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Amelia(Krueger)Ruegge, one brother, William Krueger, besides a host of otherrelatives and friends.Her death came after a four days illness ofparalysis. The funeral services were conducted on January 30, by Rev.f. Tschudy, and the body was laid to rest in the Cedar Cemetery.Mrs.Pruessner was a devout Christian woman, a member of the Evangelicalchurch(_____________), she has gone to her reward after a long andwell-spent life.Bereaved family have the sympathy of their friends intheir sad loss.NHL 2-8-1918
