PERCY - Mildred J. Behnken, 75, passed away at 9:50 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, in Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro. She was born June 1, 1932, in Randolph County, the daughter of Henry Guebert and Bertha (Knop) Guebert. She married Louis H. Behnken Jr. on Aug. 14, 1954, in St. John's in Post Oak. He passed away Sept. 22, 2000. She is survived by her son, Arlen Behnken and wife, Cindy, of Percy; her daughter, Doris Hill and husband, Ed, of Murphysboro; her niece, Donna Wolters and husband, Dale; her nephew, Willard Guebert and wife, Michelle; andgrandchildren, Kyle, Kory, Kody Behnken and Alan Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; her parents; and two brothers. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Women's Club and St. John's Quilting Club. She loved gardening, embroidery and dancing. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Post Oak. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008, in St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kathryn Bielfeldt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 7:30 to9a.m. Thursday at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials may be to St. John's Cemetery Fund or St. John's General Fund.
