Aus dem Buch: "Daughters of Texas"
Im Jahre 1839 nahm er eine "bedingte staatliche Lanzuteilung" (conditional land grant) von der Republik Texas in Harrisburg an.
Er diente in der "Vasquez-Kompanie" im Jahr 1842 unter General Burleson und in der "Woll-Kompanie" im September 1842.
Er begann 1841 viele Gebiete von Farmland in Colorado und Austin-County zu erwerben.
Im Jahr 1845 stimmte er für die Eingemeindung von Texas.
Seine Familie waren berühmte Mitglieder der katholischen St. Peter und Paul-Gemeinde in Frelsburg TX, wo sie verheiratet und begraben wurden und wo die meisten ihrer Kinder getauft wurde.
