Notes: Carolus Wenzeslaus Jankoffsky Swedish history

Prince Karl Gustav (Karl Gustav von Pfalz-Zweibrücken) and Baroness Ludmilla (Ludmilla Bechyňové z Lažan)meet each other during Karl Gustav's participation in The Thirty Year War in Moravia. They had an affair at Château Tovačově and Horní Moštěnici in 1643.

Ludmila gavebirth to son Karl Vaclav (Carolus Wenzeslaus) in Znojmo, Moravia in 1644.

After the Battle of Jankov in 1645, Prince Karl Gustav brought Karl Vaclav back with him to Sweden. Prince Karl Gustav paid for his education and the young Karl lived with his father on the Isle of Öland.

In 1649 the widow Ludmila needing financial aid sent a letter to Prince Karl Gustav in Swedenasking for support for herself and her two daughters Elisabeth and Maximiliana Dorothea Jankovská z Vlašimi (Sweden, a letter, dated April 19th, 1649).

In 1653 Ludmila alongwith Jindrich's brother Vilem made unsuccessful claim for the Bitov Estates.

Prior to becoming King of Sweden in 1654 Karl Gustav returned young Karl Vaclav to his mother Ludmila in Moravia.

After Ludmila's death in 1655 Karl X Gustav, King of Sweden, intervened in King's Tribunal in support of Karl Vaclav (Instructions Royal Tribunal in Brno dated January 12th,1656). Karl Vaclav was granted Coat of Arms, the title Baron Jankovský z Vlašimi and the ownership of the Rešice estate.

Karl X Gustav had only one son and heir, Karl XI, within his royal marriage. However, he had five recognized children before his marriage and is rumored to have had many more bastards even after the wedding with numerous women from all classes of society. The children that he recognized were the following:

Carolus Wenzeslaus Jankoffsky (1643-????), with Ludmilla Jankowska von Lazan
Gustaf Carlson (1647-1708), with Märta Allertz
Nils Carlsson (1648-????), with Valborg Staffansdotter
Samuel Carlsson (????-1691), with Sidonia Johansdotter
Anna Carlsdotter (????-????), with "Svana-Lilla" Lobjörn
