Paul Rancke führte 1524 das Hadler Heeresaufgebot nach Wursten in denKampf gegen den Bremer Erzbischof. Die Hadler verloren ihre Kanonenund mussten fliehen. In der Folge gab es den Rachefeldzug desErzbischofs gegen die Hadler. Paul Rancke flüchtete nach Hamburg.
