QUELLE: Gesine Pastunink, age 71, of Holland, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Resthaven Care Center. Gesine was a member of Christ Memorial Church where she was an active volunteer and part of the WOW and Faithfulness Circle groups. She was a nurse aid for many years at Birchwood Nursing Home and Haven Park. She is survived by her husband of 49.5 years, Bernd and children, Mary and Tim Steinbeck of Elk River, MN, John and Kristi Pastunink of Zeeland, Harv and Sue Pastunink of Hudsonville, Brenda and Gregg Stoel of Hamilton, Joyce and Joe Stich of Battle Creek, Karen and Troy Bush of Holland; 19 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Geisen Vennekate, Johanna and Johann Vos, Wilhelmine and Wilhelm ten-Brink, Johann and Altien Diekjakobs all of Germany, Jenny and William Sytsma of Holland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Christina and Lambert Vennekate, Otto and Johanna Pastunink, Gesine Pastunink; many nephews and nieces in Germany and the United States. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2007 in the Chapel at Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafschap Road, Holland use East entrance D . Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street in Holland. Memorial contributions may be made to Resthaven Care Center or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
