Diedrick L. Wessel born at Adelsheide, Oldenburg, Germany, on Nov 21, 1840. Baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Came to America in 1873 (according to the Koester history).
Second husband of Anna Metta Haar Drieling. They were married on April 29, 1875. They lived their lives on the Homestead in the community known as "Section 12" in Cuming Township, Dodge County, Nebraska.
Both he and his wife were laid to rest in the family lot at St. Paul's Church of which they had always been faithful members.
From Ancestry.com Albert Rholfs family tree --- Diedrich was a hired man for Johann and Anna on the homestead in Sec 12, Dodge Co, Nebr. He died Nov 3, 1909 after having been confined to a wheel chair for nearly 2 years following a stroke which left him speechless and paralyzed. He and Anna were faithful members of St Pauls.
