Marjorie Elaine Ludwig (nee Mihills) passed from this life on December 17, 2017 at the age of 96 years in Escondido CA. Marjorie was born in Salt Lake City to M. E. and Gladys Mihills.They moved to California when she was a child. She married Paul F. Ludwig in Sacramento in 1942. As an Air Force wife, she lived in several places in the United States and Canada. The family moved to Fresno in 1961. Paul died in 1970.
Marjorie graduated magna cum laude from CSU Fresno in 1975 with a degree in accounting. She took pride in her career. She formed a CPA partnership—McDonald and Ludwig--with Florence McDonald. They were the first female CPA partnership in the central valley of California. Marjorie was a Governor of the Society of California Accountants in 1990-91.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband and an infant daughter.
Left to mourn are her children—Susan (Robert) Bourgeois of Escondido, Jane Ludwig of Idaho, Thomas (Lisa) Ludwig, of Perris CA; her grandchildren, Brian Bourgeois, Janet Bourgeois Smith, Sarah Ludwig, and Jessica Ludwig, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Marjorie loved her family and she especially cherished her dogs.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2017 at 12 noon at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L. Street, Fresno. Interment to follow at Clovis District Cemetery.
