UBINGER
WILLIAM N., M.D.
Age 83, formerly of O'Hara Twp., passed away peacefully at home with family at his side, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Wonderful husband of 58 years to Annamae (Hepp) Ubinger; loving father of Chris (Diane), Jeff (Nicki), Annette (Bill) Zervins, and Eric (Kelly); devoted Pap-Pap of Dan, Megan, Alex, Carolyn, Matt, Jason, Devyn, Brock, and Carly; brother of Bernie (late Jayne) Ubinger. Bill earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh (Phi Beta Kappa), and his medical degree at UCLA Medical School. His medical practice included two years in California and then Family Practice in Tarentum (Allegheny Valley Hospital), and then retired from serving as the medical director of the Drug and Alcohol Rehab Unit at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Highland Drive, Pittsburgh. Bill spent four years in the Korean war serving with the Navy. He loved traveling, the Pittsburgh Symphony, visiting Civil War sites, and Disney World. Bill's love for his family and God was always at the top of his list. His dedication to his wife, children, and grandchildren was unparalleled. The family will receive friends Friday, November 28, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 2510 Middle Road, Hampton Twp. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to TASH, Inc. (The Anna Seethaler Hospital, Inc. Oaxaca, Mexico), 9448 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, PA 15101.
