Scherer, 65, Horicon, a native of Town of Forest, Fond du LacCounty and an employe of the Dodge County highway department, collapsedand died early today while engaged in road work near Juneau. Funeralservices will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Horicon Funeral Home,and at 2 p.m. t ST. Johns Lutheran Church, Juneau, with burial in JuneauCity Cemetery. The Rev. M.J. Mommenses will officiate. Born May 24,1888, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Scherer, he was married October 30,1912 to Martha Ballwanz. Surviving are his widow; five sons, Norman andRaymond of Milwaukee, and Paul Jr., Roger and Harvey of Juneau; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Waldschmidtof Waupun, and Mrs. Pauline Rady of this city; and three brothers,William and Otto of Clavary and George of his city; 13 grandchildren; andtwo great grandchildren.
