Joseph Edward KOLESKI

U. S. Navy veteran. Served on the U.S.S. Constellation (CV 64) and the U.S.S. Bennington (CV/CVA/ CVS 20). Nicknamed 'Tiny' when a youngster, he was raised on a farm near Eastlake (Adams ), Colorado-on land that is now developed and part of the cities of Westminster and Thornton-at 120th Avenue and I-25. He was a member and descendant of a pioneer Colorado family that were early settlers to the Arvada area-his great-grandparents include John P. Graves (1848-1925) and Emma Wadsworth (1854-1905) and his great great grandparents include B. F. Wadsworth (1827-1893) and Mary Ann Groves (1827-1898). Son of Leo A. Koleski (1904-1986), and Marjory Rose Koleski (1914-2005), Longmont, Colorado and formerly of Broomfield, Colorado and Mesa, Arizona; Brother of Sharon Farnsworth (1942-), Longmont, Colorado, and L. A. Koleski, Jr. (-). Uncle of Diana Rawlings, Kip Farnsworth, and Karen Armendariz. Also survived by four great nephews and a great niece. A 1958 graduate of Meritt Hutton High School, Thornton, Colorado (first graduating class). Ex-Class of 1962, Colorado State University, geology and oil exploration. Worked for a time for the Climax Molybdenum Company, Colorado in the 1960's.Retired from San Diego Gas & Electric. Cause of death: heart attack.
