In 1507, Eberhart was a curator of special diseases(veneral?). From 1509 to 1516, he was judge of the city and from 1510 to 1527,guardian of St. Martins church. From 1516 to 1527, he was inspector of weights and measures. From 1516 to 1517, second of the grocar's guild. 1516 to 1538, Counceler of the City Council. Master of the grocars guild from 1527 to 1533. In 1535, Eberhart was mayorof the city of Memmingen. 1530 to1531, tin inspector. 1532 to1533, tax collector. 1536, building inspector. 1516 to 1534, protector of the hospital. 1520 to 1523, guardian of the village of Frickenhausen, which he purhased for the city by order of the City Council. 1533 to 1537, head of the college of the general or universal church, patrons newly established. Was an energetic foster of the Reformation at Memmingen. Was an ardent follower of Zwingle, leaned in times toward the fanatical, Schuenkfeld, who preached at his house in 1534. Often, Erberhart was sent as a representative of thecommunity during discussions among clergymen of the old faith and protastants. He was a collaborator in drawing up new laws,e.g. decrees for leans, decrees for church patrons or curators. He was therepresentative of Memmingen to the Swaibian Confederation at Nordlingen in 1522, to the uprising of peasants in 1525, to the congress of Speirs in 1526. He was sent by the Bishop from Ausburg to Dillingen to justify the cessation of the "Mass" in 1527. He was sent to the convention of all cities in Esslinger in 1528. Sent to meetings of the protestant cities in the upper German States at Biberach in 1529. Eberhart was sent to the so called "Yarn Society" in Kaufeuren. In 1535, he was sent to the Reichstag(Congress) at Worms, this was a very important meeting. In 1505, he donated, in St.Martins church, the so called "Mang" chapel in honor of his uncle Mang (deceased) whose heirs he became and which to this day is called the Zangmeisteriche Kappele. He transfered to this chapel, themasses for the poor souls- founded by his uncle Mang (explanation will be found in biography of Mang) and together with Barthlome Schlackh and his father, Hans, wrote the endorsement letter concerning the "Mass Benefice". In 1515, he bought the house situated behind his home and facing St Anthony's chapel(now Herrenstrasse No. 112). He carried on trade with Venice and Lyon, France. He builtfactories or agencies for his businss there as well as in Ula and Ausserg. In 1551, he was the highest taxed citizen, hence the wealthiest at Memmingen. His taxes exceeded 97 florins. Married at Isny to Elizabeth Buffler, daughter of Kasper Buffler, mayor of Isny. She gave hospitality(after the death of Eberhart) to Emperor Karl V in 1543, in her home. Later she lived in the house facing St. Anthony's Chapel.
