Obituary
Fred August Masheris
Fred August Masheris, 88, of South Elgin, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin. He was born on June 5, 1919 in Chicago, IL the son of Fred Carl and Mary Louise (Pfaff) Moscherosch.
Fred was a Veteran, and served in the US Army during WWII. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed to tinker. Fred will be deeply missed.
He was a member of the Union Park Lodge # 610.
Survivors include his two children, Sherry Masheris of Elgin and Michael (Belinda) Masheris of South Elgin; two grandchildren, Romana and Michelle Masheris; along with a great-granddaughter, Samantha Masheris.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and many brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-9:00 P.M. at the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, IL 60123 (847-741-8800). Services and burial will be private.
