Lenora Riedel Schulmeister Lenora Riedel Schulmeister 87 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Wed. Sept. 29, 2004 at ManorCare, Libertyville, IL. She was born Oct. 29, 1916 in Kenosha, WI the daughter of the late Otto and Bertha Polfus. She had lived in Carney, Michigan and Forest Park, IL before moving to Antioch . Lenora was a waitress for many years and had worked at Smarts Country Club in Antioch, Sail Inn in Fox Lake and the Northern Chalet in Libertyville. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society, in Antioch. On March 7, 1995 she married Arnold Schulmeister in Antioch. She was preceded in death by her first husband Herbert Riedel in 1979. Survivors are her children, Richard (Judy) Riedel of Spring Grove, IL, Herbert (Pam) Riedel of Antioch, IL, Charlene (Raymond) McNaught of Spring Grove, IL, Raymond (Peggy) Riedel of Antioch and Ralph (Laura) Riedel of Johnsburg, IL, 5 step children, Wesley (Sue) Schulmeister of Salem, WI, Bonnie (Kevin) Kline of Springfield, VA, Karen (Kenneth) Johnston of Antioch, IL, Randall (Charlene) Schulmeister of Antioch, IL and Victoria Schulmeister of Lakewood, CO, 7 Grandchildren, 10 Step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a brother Ervin (Hilda) Polfus of Carney, MI. In addition to her first husband she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Norman and Clarence Polfus and 1 sister Dolores Anglet. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Sat. Oct 2, 2004 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1275 Main St, (Rte 83) Antioch. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Antioch. Visitation will be from 4 until 8PM Friday at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St,(Rte 83) and at the Church Sat. from 10 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Building Fund, in her memory.
