Hoff, Benno C. BENNO C. HOFF, 86, passed away Monday April 12, 2004. He was born October 5, 1917 in Bellville, TX. to Charles and Meta Hoff. Mr. Hoff served his country during WWII with the U.S. Army in the European Theater of Operation. Employed by Mosher Steel Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1982, he was a longtime member of the Woodmen of the World, and also a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church since 1963. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Bernice M. Hoff, he is survived by his daughters, Karen Lind and husband Michael, and Kimberly Linn and husband, Jefferey; and grandchildren, Kevin and Kristin Lind and Jamie and Courtney Linn. Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2004 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 16, 2004 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7901 Westview, Houston, TX. 77055 with Reverend George Bement and Reverend Gene Fogt officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in memory of Benno C. Hoff.
