Elmer Stuth Elmer Stuth of Moody passed away on January 24, 2007 in Temple at the age of 85. Visitation was at Cole’s Funeral Home in McGregor on Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. Elmer was born August 21, 1921, in Moody, the son of the late couple Jogn and Lydia Wiese Stuth. Elmer went to school at Buckhorn and also Moody. He served in World War II from June 1942 to De- cember 1945. Elmer was deco- rated with a Purple Heart due to injuries he received in Septejmber of 1944 in the ser- vice of his country. On Sep- tember 7, 1946, he married the love of his life Mildred Weber at the Moody-Leon Methodist Church Chapel. Elmer and Mildred lived in Waco for 36 years due to his job. The couple did move back years later in 1980 to the Stuth Farm in the Buckhorn area. Elmer like to go deer hunting and loved the outdoor life and had cattle on the Stuth Ranch. Elmer was an active member of the Moody-Leon Methodist Church where he served as trea- surer for many years. Elmer’s funeral service was Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Moody- Leon Methodist Church with Reverend Laraine Waughtal, his pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Buckhorn-Moody Leon Cemetery under the direc- tion of Cole Funeral Home of McGregor. Elmer was preceded in death by a son Dr. Jerry Stuth and a brother Edgar Stuth. He was survived by his wife Mildred, who had been married to Elmer for 60 years; a daughter, Judy Kuper of Temple; a daughter-in- law Nadine Stuth of College Sta- tion; four grandchildren; three step grand daughters and thirteen great grandchildren. Elmer may be gone, but not forgotten. May he rest in peace. To the family and Mildred- The Lord said, Come home Elmer, it is supper time and I am waiting for you. Our Lord will comfort you all.
