Caroline's daughter Emma married Emiel Grosse, who was the brother of Olga Grosse. Olga's husband Paul Nickel was the brother of Caroline.
One of the daughters of Heinrich Bergman and Caroline Nickel, Emma, married an Amiel Gustaf Grosse. They had only one child William Amiel Gustaf b 12 Nov 1897. Emma his mother was only 17 years old and died only 8 days after the baby was born. Heinrich and Caroline raised him virtually as their own child. Caroline must have been very fond of him as he received a big part of her property in her will when she died.
