"Funeral Is Held In Huntsville for J.L. Brockman, 86
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in the Patton Funeral
Home in Huntsville for Jacob L. (Jake) Brockman, 86, who died Saturday
afternoon in the Bunton Rest Home in Marceline.
Services were by the Rev. C.W. Cornn of Moberly, Christian Church
minister, and burial was in Huntsville.
Mr. Brockman, former custodian for the Huntsville Courthouse, is
survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dora Mae Wright, Jacksonville; a son, J.L.
Brockman, USN, Jacksonville, Fla; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Sampsel, Callao;
a brother, Lewis Brockman, Moberly, and five grandchildren."

"Jake Brockman Dies at Rest Home in Marceline
Jacob Luke Brockman, long resident of Randolph county and Huntsville
died at the Bunton Rest Home in Marceline, Missouri where he had been a
resident for the past 15 months.
The late Mr. Brockman was born July 18th, 1872, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. George Brockman. His wife Georgia Brockman preceded him in death
October 1st, 1952.
Mr. Brockman was at one time custodian at the Randolph Court House.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dora Mae Wright, Jacksonville, Mo.,
and one son, J.L. Brockman, who is in the Navy, Jacksonville, Florida,
one sister, Mrs. Lucy Sampsel, Callao, Mo., and one brother, Lewis
Brockman, Moberly.
The body lay in state at the Patton Funeral Home until time for the
services.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2:30, at the First
Christian Church, Huntsville, with special music furnished by Mrs.
Walter Wright and Mrs. Fay Mayo, with Mrs. O'Conners at the organ. The
Reverend W. C. Cornn preached the funeral.
Pall bearers were: Walter Warbritten, H.J. Taylor, Fray Mayo, Thurber
Dunivent, Si Corbin, and Charles Fray."
