[Margaretha SPRUEGEL.ftw] Enlisted 8 March 1865 in Sandusky, Ohio, USA for one year In Co.'F` 197th Reg. O.V.I. 3rd Div. 9th A.C. Mustered out with Company 31 July 1865 at Camp Bradford, Md. Proir to his death he resided at Nettle Lake, williams, Ohio, USA Camp Bradford was in Baltimore, Maryland. Widow recieved Civil War Pension #371391 David was first Street Commissioner in Edon Village, Ohio, USA. Was Charter member ofBoone Post Of the Grand Army of Replic Post #227, created on 28 May 1882. Was a Private in the Civil War. Moved to Williams County, Ohio, USA in March 1855. During the Civil War he took part in no General Engagements, but was employedmost of the time on detached duty as guard for supply trains. listed in the 1880 Census for Florence Township, Williams County,Ohiotaken on 26 June 1880 lists David as age 42. He resided at Nettle Lake,Edon,Ohio, USA.
