Marvin Bode, 67, of Rt. 1 Courtland, died Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Courtland with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and continues one hour before the service Saturday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Bode of rural Courtland; son, Lynn Bode of Bemidji; daughter-in-law, Chris Bode of Mankato; daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Carl Clavadetscher of Herndon, Va.; four grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law,
Ardella and Harvey Hulke of Courtland.
He was born on May 2, 1931, in New Ulm to Otto and Luella (Netzke) Bode. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Parochial school in rural Courtland. He married LaDonna Muenchow on Sept. 19, 1952 at Christ Lutheran Church in Wanda. They farmed in rural
Courtland. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, a past school board member of the Immanuel Lutheran School, and a past cemetery committee member.
