Family tradition says that Guiseppe came to the US at least twice. A possible arrival is for: G. Ditelli age 28 on board the ship India from Italy September 1887. They worked together in Montana. John helped to pay for his mother, Bernardina, and sisters, Rosa and Angela, to come immigrate. Joseph told his wife to come to America. She did not want to come. Joseph told her that was all right, just to send the girls. All three arrived in 1901. Second, much of the information about Joe and Mary is incorrect. Mary did not speak English so her answers to the census taker were confused. Joe was about 54 and Mary was 60. They were married 34 years.
