1840 Census, Vermilion County, Illinois The head of household is John Dopps. There are eight people in thehousehold. There are noslaves nor other persons in the household. The makeup and count of the family is confusing given the number ofchildren alive at the time of the census. Obviously some of thechildren were not at home or otherwise missed in the count.
