Obituary From Warsaw Enterprise, date unknown: Died--Monday May 11, 1896William Ficken, son of Henry Ficken, who had gone to Lincoln with aload of hogs. After disposing of them, he went to the lumber yard andloaded his wagon with shingles. When ready to start, his mules becamefrightened, and on his insecure seat on the shingles he was unable tocontrol them. They ran about 25 yards and making a sudden turn, he wasthrown to the ground in front of the wagon and fell under a frontwheel, killing him instantly. Leaves a wife and two children. A fewyears ago, Mr. Ficken had another son killed by falling from a load ofhay which he was taking to Windsor. He now has only one son. [Williamwas Peter Wilhelm Ficken, b.1868]
