The marriage of Miss Norma Jean Pageler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pageler of Belvue to Mr. Roy Leon Allen, son of Mrs. Bessie St. Clair of Topeka, took place Monday September 8, 1947 at 3 p.m. in the Evangelical church at Wells Creek. The Rev. Kurz of the church read the single ring ceremony. Preceding the ceremony Mrs. Eugene Pageler sang "I Love You Truly" accompanied by Mrs. Seibert Reiners who also played the Wedding March.
The bride wore a salmon pink crepe dress and carried a bouquet of white gladioli tied with white ribbon. Miss Gladysanne Beasterfeld of Cook, Nebraska, attended her cousin as maid of honor. She wore a aqua dress and corsage of salmon pink gladioli tied with pink ribbon.
The groom wore a dark brown suit. The best man, Mrs. Norman Peters, a friend of the groom, wore a navy pin striped suit. They both had white mum boutonni'e8res.a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for the immediate family. the table was centered with a three tiered cake decorated with a miniature bride and groom make by Mrs. Harold Hafenstein, aunt of the bride.
A large crowd charivaried the young couple in the evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen will make their home in Topeka, where Mr. Allen is employed at the Winter General Hospital.
