Swarney, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 17, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, where a Prayer Service will be offered at 4 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to St. John Vianney or the American Cancer Society. Suzanne died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, after a sudden illness. Suzanne Julia Krekan was born September 7, 1946, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the daughter of George and Helen(Somok) Krekan. She received her Associates Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City, and a Medical Assistant Certificate from Kaplan College, Davenport. Suzanne was united in marriage to John R. Swarney on June 1, 1968, in Fairfield, Connecticut. Suzanne was a member St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She was an active volunteer for the church, a member of the Curé of Ars Ladies Guild, and the Red Hats Society. She enjoyed shopping, interior decorating and crafts. Suzanne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her family. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her great pleasure. Survivors include her husband, John; daughters, Kimberly Loney and Heather Schmiers, both of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; a son and daughter-in-law, John R. (Lorri) Swarney II, Bettendorf; grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Olive, Carson, Tavia, and Lydia; a sister, Rosemary Krekan, Stratford, Connecticut; and a brother, George Krekan, Bridgeport, Connecticut. Title Die Familien Schmiers und ihre Verwandten
Description

um 2009 veröffentlichte ich die erste Version meines Vorfahrenbaumes in GEDBAS. Heute 2014 kann man diese als überholt bezeichen und ersetzen durch die neue Version von 2014.

Diese Datenbank enthällt möglichst alle Vorkommen von Schmiers weltweit in zwei großen Familiensträngen, die beide aus Westfalen stammen. Zusätzlich, wenn alles klappte, auch einige Streufunde, die noch nicht zugeordnet werden konnten. Mein Zweig stammt aus dem Kreis Steinfurt, ist in Westfalen ausgestorben und lebt als "sächsischer Zweig" weiter. Der andere große Strang stammt aus der Umgebung Cappenberg und hat zahlreiche Nachkommen in USA und Deutschland. In den vergangenen Jahren ist meine Forschung deutlich vorangeschritten.

Beim Export hakte ich an "lebende Personen ausschließen". Hoffentlich vergaß ich bei keiner Person mit unbekanntem Todesdatum das Häkchen bei 'verstorben' zu setzen...

Ich würde mich über Fragen zu diesen Familienbäumen freuen.
