HATTIE GRANT Hattie B. Grant, 75, of Poor Ridge Road, Lancaster, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Oct. 14, 1931, in Leslie County, she was the daughter of the late James and Cora Day Burkhart. She was the widow of Robinson Grant. She was a homemaker and a farmer. Survivors include: one son, John Grant, Paint Lick; two daughters, Mary Ann Lear and Cora "Tootsie" Schmiers, both of Lancaster; three sisters, Gladys Wells, Frankfort, Mallie Denny, Burgin, and Mackie McClements, Lexington; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by an infant child, Dallas Robinson Grant. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ramsey Funeral Home, Lancaster, by Rev. Bill Graves. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Bowling, Randy Prewitt, Jason Hall, Keith Greer, Phillip Delany and John Schmiers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Miller, Johnnie Underwood, David Layton, Manford Teater, Lewis Layton, James Delany and William Kirby Teater. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday. | |

Description | um 2009 veröffentlichte ich die erste Version meines Vorfahrenbaumes in GEDBAS. Heute 2014 kann man diese als überholt bezeichen und ersetzen durch die neue Version von 2014. Diese Datenbank enthällt möglichst alle Vorkommen von Schmiers weltweit in zwei großen Familiensträngen, die beide aus Westfalen stammen. Zusätzlich, wenn alles klappte, auch einige Streufunde, die noch nicht zugeordnet werden konnten. Mein Zweig stammt aus dem Kreis Steinfurt, ist in Westfalen ausgestorben und lebt als "sächsischer Zweig" weiter. Der andere große Strang stammt aus der Umgebung Cappenberg und hat zahlreiche Nachkommen in USA und Deutschland. In den vergangenen Jahren ist meine Forschung deutlich vorangeschritten. Beim Export hakte ich an "lebende Personen ausschließen". Hoffentlich vergaß ich bei keiner Person mit unbekanntem Todesdatum das Häkchen bei 'verstorben' zu setzen... Ich würde mich über Fragen zu diesen Familienbäumen freuen. |
