Keystone - Funeral services were held Friday, May 3 at 1:30 p.m. for Emma Eggers, who died of cancer at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids Wednesday, may 1, at 6 a.m. She had been ill for five weeks. Rev. Otto Nuechterlein conducted the services at St. John Lutheran church, Keystone. Burial was in the Keystone cemetery.

The deceased was born on October 10, 1882, the daughter of Hans and Gesche Junge in Germany. On March 11, 1903, she was married to William Eggers in Kane township. The couple lived on a farm near Keystone and in 1913 moved to Keystone. She was a member of St. John Lutheran church. Survivors include her two sons, Ben Eggers, Keystone and Raymond Eggers, Cedar Rapids, five grandchildren and fivegreat-grandchildren. she was preceded in death by her husband on April 4, 1952. Pallbearers for the funeral were Rudy Homire, Ed Junge, Henry Junge, Jr., Henry H. Junge, Art Hennings and Louie Junge.[Zornig Family.FTW]
