Email from Jim (eastenders) from Ancestry.com message boards for MESSERSCHMITT.

My great-grandmother, Elise Messerschmidt, came from Winzengen in 1903 to Chicago. Her father, Johannes (John), was born in 1861 also in Winzengen. They were members of the United Protestant-Evangelist-Christian Church of the Pfalz(VereinigteProtestantisch-Evangelisch-Christliche Kirche der Pfalz) and I was able to look this parish up on the FHC microfilm. I didn`t see anentryfor Heinrich/Henry (although I can`t remember looking for all Messerschmidt entries). My Johannes` parents were Jacob Messerschmidt and Margaretha Lanir/Lauer.

Were you able to locate your Heinrich/Henry in the microfilms? Since my Johannes and your Heinrich were born only a couple of years apart I wonder if they might be related?

Thanks,

Jim
