Birth: Jan. 13, 1921 Clinton Custer County Oklahoma, USA Death: Jan. 26, 2002 Clinton Custer County Oklahoma, USA The dau/o John and Ollie (Cope) Muno, Clara grew up in Lenora near Taloga and attended school there before moving to Oregon during World War II where she worked in a factory to support the war effort. After moving back to Oklahoma in 1944, she went to work at the TB Sanitarium where she met William Augustus "Mike" Simpson, and they were married that same year; he died in 1951. She moved from Clinton to Oklahoma City several times before finally settling back in Clinton in 1969. Mrs. Simpson worked at both the Ralph's Truck Stop, Big Sky and Cherokee Restaurants where she was known for her coconut cream pies. She had also done child care before retiring in 1990. In her sparetime Mrs. Simpson enjoyed cooking, reading and crocheting. Preceding her in death were her husbands; her parents; two sons, Ricky Hutchins and Rayford "Chuckie" Simpson; five brothers, Leslie, Otis, Garvin, Randolph and Rayford Muno; and five sisters, Mable Upchurch, Daisy Snider, Iona Waid, Ruby Cryer and Ethel Jones.
