(383) Scott County Democrat June 2, 1938- page 1 Mrs Frank Miller of Oran dies Sunday Crescentia E. Heisserer, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Vincent Heisserer, was born at Commerce, June 15, 1868, and died at St. Francis Hospital at Cape Girardeau Sunday, after a short illness. She under wentan emergency operation for appendicities May 17th and complications set in which resulted in her death. On Feb. 19, 1889, she married Frank C Miller at New Hamburg, and one child was born to them-it dying in infancy. Mrs Miller attended schools at Benton, New Hamburg and Cape Girardeau. She was one of eleven children. For 37 years Mrs Miller had been bookkeeper for T.S.Heisserer and Co. at Oran. Requiem High Mass was sung by Rev. M. HelmbecherTuesday morning at nine o'clock at Guardian Angel Church in Oran, who started his sermon by quoting the words of Paul "I have kept the faith." He spokeof Mrs Miller as being a model and an example for Christians to follow. The priest told of her devotion to her church, her faithfulness to her God, her kindness to the poor and her acts of chairity, remarking that when her record books were opened in heaven she would have laid up great riches, because of her many works. Her constancy to the services of the church, her life and love were mentionedas a pattern that others might well follow. Assisting Rev. Helmbecher were Rev. H T Macke of Benton, Rev O'Malley C.M. and Rev Videll C.M. of Cape Girardeau. St. Ann's Society, of which Mrs Miller was a member, attended the funeral in a body and said the Rosary as they entered church. Surviving are her husband, three sisters, Mrs B J Tenkoff of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs Louis Dohogne of near Kelso and Sister Olivia, one brother, Z A Heisserer of Oran. Although they had no children oftheir own, Mr. and Mrs Miller reared a niece and nephew , Mrs J A Rapp of Cape Girardeau and Edwin Burger of Oran. Paul beareers were nephews, Mont Proffit of Chaffee, Paul Burger of Oran, LeRoy Heisserer of Sikeston, Vincent Tenkoff of Malden, Dewey Tenkoff of Cape Girardeau and Joe Dohogne of near Kelso.
