(285) KELSO - Coena Veronica Reinagel, 79, died at 6:20 a.m. April 11, 2003, at her home. Born March 15, 1924, in Kelso, daughter of the late Albert Joseph and Bertha Heuring Schwartz, she worked in the housekeeping department at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. A member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Ladies Sodality in Kelso, she was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 6420 Ladies Auxiliary in Scott City and Friends of St. Francis. On Oct. 12, 1943, at Kelso, she married Henry William Reinagel who preceded her in death on April 25, 2000. Survivors include: two sons, Bill Reinagel and David Reinagel of Kelso; two daughters, Pat Kirn of Kelso and Linda Brown of Fruitland; one brother, Joseph Schwartz Sr. of Kelso; two sisters, Annie Essner of Chaffee and Leona Scherer of Kelso; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Two brothers, two sisters and one great-grandchild also preceded her in death. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where a rosary at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by a Knights of Columbus service at 6:45 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.
