ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Source-1 Peter was in the 1850 census of Overton Co. TN. He fought in the Civil War in Co. H 3rd KY inf. and Co. A 1st KY Light Artillery. He was captured in Nashville TN in 1862 but was later released in a POW exchange. He owned bottom land on the east and west forks of the Obey River and is said to have given each child of the first family a farm. Source-2 p. 128 states that this Peter Booher married Sally Shelley which in incorrect Source-7 TRANSCRIPTION OF LAST WILL & TESTAMENT OF PETER BOOHER, SR. In the name of God Amen. I Peter Booher being advancing in age, but of sound mind do make and publish this my last Will & Testament, as follows: 1st: I will that all my just debts and my funeral expences be paid as soon as possible of out _____ means that I may die possessed of. 2nd: I will that my son Peter Booher, Jr., have my tract of land known as the John Smith tract containing one hundred acres more or less. 3rd: I will that my 2 daughters, Nancy Emaline & Lucinda Jane, have my farm known as the Oxendine place containing three hundred acres more or less, to be equally divided between them. 4th: I will that my tract of land known as the Huddleston Land as far south as the road along the meadow fence be equally divided between Annul(?) Elizabeth and Tennessee, my 3rd and 4th daughters. 5th: I will that my wife Tennessee Booher have all of my home place on which I now live, together with all of my household and kitchen furniture and all of my horses, cattle, hogs and stock of all kinds, wagon, farming utencils & BlackSmith Tools & c. And further I will that all of the said property that I have willed to my wife Tennessee Booher, to decend to my son Joel Booher at her death and title to said property to be vested in him. 6th: I will that if my son Joel Booher should die before his mother does, that the property willed to him at her death to decend to her other heirs, equally divided between them. 7th: The reason that I have given my property that I now own to my present family is that my first children have had their full share of my property when they left me and set up for themselves. 8th: I will that my wife have the control of the property willed to all of my children until they come to be of age to act for themselves (tha tis 21 years of age). 9th: I hereby appoint my wife Tennessee Booher and my son Peter Booher my executors of my Will, to carry out the provisions of the same.
