My father's cousin has sent me photos of the house that was pointed out to her by her mother as the place where the dentist lived that got my Grandmother with my father. Shirlee Blazej and her daughter were nice enough to send me those pictures and so far this is what is known In 1926 there was a George Scannell living at 444 Westfield St. (the address in the picture is 632, but addresses change with time. Cynthia Murphy (*Springfield Museum, MA) tells me that George was a dentist. I can see that this office is not far from where my Grandmother lived. This is all supposition at this point, and everybody is gone that could tell me the truth. George died in 1984 Agawam, Hampden, MA. He was married and it appears he never had children, more's the pity... 1930 Census ED 1458 Sheet 2A 128-35 146St. S. Ozone Park, Queens, NY Wehmann, Henry C. age 40, brother in law, living with his brother in law-laborer in a factory, parents born in Germany, he was born in NY says he was married at age 35, making the year 1925 about Miller, Louis Metta* (must be his sister) age 43 Certification # 23710 This appears to be a certified copy of her divorce. She probably needed this to get a license to marry Poppy Pete. The document is dated ? Nov 27, 1945. This jives with what Dad told me that Nana & Poppy Pete married after his marriage to Mom. Marriage must be checked out with the place across the street from Chambers. *The divorce took place (Granted) 12/10/1939) and her name is listed as Winifred M. Wehmann. Action was taken September 13, 1939. Court was "At a special Term of the Supreme Court of the State of NY, held in the county of Kings, at the Municpal Bldg in the boro of Bklyn, in said County, on the day of Dec 1939.
